The Margaret Meyers Scholarship celebrates Margie's memory by cherishing the ideals by which she lived, and by supporting Catholic education at her alma mater — Bishop Walsh School in Cumberland, Maryland. Each year, a Bishop Walsh student with a commitment to volunteer service will be recognized and supported as a Meyers Service Scholar.
CRITERIA
A Margaret Meyers Scholarship award of $1000 will be given each year to a student currently enrolled in grades 9–12 at Bishop Walsh. The primary criterion for the award is the student's demonstrated commitment to a spirit of service and volunteerism within the school or broader community. Award selection will be made by Bishop Walsh leadership, in consultation with Margie's family.
The scholarship is open to all eligible Bishop Walsh students. Special consideration will be given to students from the Divine Mercy Parish that Margie faithfully served.
